Got any good ideas for the piles of old jeans we cannot use anymore?
If they are still in good condition the obvious one would be to donate them to a local charity or church clothing program. They always need clothes especially when economic times are bad and more people are in need. If you are looking for ideas to make with old jeans there are all kinds of fun crafts you can do with them. If you know how to make your own paper, you can tiny bits of shredded up jeans and out them in the blender with the paper mixture and call it blue jean paper. The kids will enjoy that. You can make cute simple coin purses out of the pockets. Just cut them off the old jeans and stitch them together front and back. Then add a snap or two on the inside at the top to keep them closed. You can always cut old jeans legs off to make shorts. That has been a pretty standard thing to do for a long time. The legs can be cut and made into small jean stuffed animals or you can take parts of the old jeans and make funky throw pillow covers for the kids to use in their rooms or in the car or on the floor. You can make doll clothes out of them for any kids who play with dolls. You can even use pieces of old jeans as part of a homemade greeting card. The ideas are only limited by your imagination. Jean fabric is pretty sturdy so it can be used for a lot of projects. Have fun creating! Mama Nono
