I need a remedy for menopause symptoms…

I think I started menopause and I’m suffering all of the usual symptoms. Do you know of a natural or home remedy for allieving these symptoms?

The first cure for menopause symptoms is to hydrate, hydrate and hydrate. Drink more water so your entire body gets more water, slather on the lotion to treat the dry skin (this will also help with itching) and use a lubricant when having sex. All of these things are proven to help reduce the effects of the symptoms of menopause. Another remedy many women use effectively is to consume more soy, either in the form of tofu or edamame. There is some evidence that soy works to help reduce menopause symptoms when consumed in large quantities, but the same evidence suggestions that it has the same side effects as hormone replacement therapy. This includes increased risk of blood clots. Some medical professionals suggest that the best way to deal with the symptoms of menopause is to plan for them. Carry a bag with a bottle of water, baby wipes to freshen up after a hot flash, a small handheld fan, tissues and lotion. It is also a good idea to dress in layers, so that when hot flashes occur, you can cool off without getting obscene. Granny says you should also avoid hanging out with skinny, cold-blooded women who will want to turn the heat on. An open window and a cool breeze will become your new best friends. If you see a traditional “modern” medicine doctor, be sure to talk to her about your symptoms. Irritability and exhaustion can be just par for the course with menopause or they can be evidence of a deeper problem as menopause is often accompanied by depression. And, warn your loved ones. the mood swings, irritability and crying jags really are not your fault, but you don’t want to alienate your family while you work through this.
