What can I do with old record albums that I don’t want?
If you have no use for old record albums, there are plenty of collectors of old record albums who are on the hunt for specific titles. Make sure you just do not toss them out. The two most obvious places to list things for sale nowadays would be Ebay or Craigslist. That way you can make a little bit of money off of the old record albums. You do have to be specific in listing any defects, scratches or imperfections when you list them for sale. You can also run ads in local newspapers or in collector’s magazines. You can even put them for sale in a garage sale or at a flea market, Do your research into their value, because although some record albums were produced in mass amounts, others were collector’s items to begin with and could be worth a fair amount of money to avid record album collectors. There are still a lot of people who feel the sound coming from old record albums is richer than that coming off of current CDs. If the old record albums you have far beyond redemption and not usable, there are places that buy them to use them to make recycled crafts and useful items of old record albums. I have seen Christmas ornaments, purses, decorator bowls and wall clocks made out of old record albums. Don’t forget the old record album covers can be put to good use too. Framed they make an interesting wall dcor. They are great resource for musical history and information about each album, and performer or group. Mama Nono
